Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox born December 25 in 1954. She was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox received a scholarship to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for three years. Lennox lived on a student allowance and took on part-time employment to augment her budget. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance compared to her student classmates and contemplated a possible alternative route she could take. Lennox was a flute player in the band Dragons Playground in 1976. But she quit before her band was requested to take part in I.T.V.'s talent competition New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980, she was the main vocalist of The Tourists, a British pop group. In this band, she was first introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they will create the Eurythmics pop duo. Lennox started working on her first solo album Diva and it was released around 1992. It was a massive critical and commercial success. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was Released in October of 2014. The C.D. is a selection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul jazz songs from her childhood. Lepidoptera, a collection four piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. The E.P. is her first self-produced album as well as a follow-up to the art installation she designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art named Now I Let You Go... Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is an Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a music producer and singer. In the late 70s, she gained a little fame when part the group known as The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international recognition in the 80s as Eurythmics. Lennox launched her own solo career when she released her first album Diva in the year 1992. This was the source of several hit songs, including"Why" and "Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the album she released in 1995 includes cover versions of tracks such asNo MoreI Love Yous andA Whiter Shade of Pale. Six solo studio albums and one compilation album, are to her credit. |
