Maureen Denise McCormick born 5th August 1956 in Woodland Hills California, youngest daughter and only of Richard McCormick. Her family consisted of a mother who was a housewife and a father who taught. Michael Dennis, Kevin and Dennis are her three oldest brothers. McCormick started dancing and singing in her early years and would often perform puppet shows in front of children in her area. She won in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest at age 6 and was contacted through Pat Domigan, a talent agent from the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to be a part of the business of show production. McCormick was offered her first major task when she was cast in the 1964 television commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. Later that year she did another commercial for Mattels Chatty Cathy doll and was later cast in the show the play Wind It up and It Breaks in the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned to play the youngest daughter of the towheaded trio on The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a new blended family. The show ran for five years. McCormick's book Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was released in the year 2008. The book revealed the fact that McCormick nearly lost her virginity while on sets of the show in its fifth season to Barry Williams. She was 16 years old when the incident occurred; he was 19. The incident could have occurred, she stated, but the time was never right for us.
